Bonjour! My name is Jenifer Vo, I am a Vietnamese-American born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I am a team member of Olalla Ranch LLC and am also an aspiring hemp ethnobotanist. Health in all aspects is my primary concern when it comes to my daily life. I like to partake in physical activities such as exercising through the gym, biking, flag football, soccer, swimming, and bouldering. But due to my recent experience with breast implants illness, my mobility capacities are now a mere fraction of what they used to be. I underwent breast explantation on August 20, 2019 and four days following, I had the honor of experiencing such a divine ceremonial tea session with the Matcha Samurai, himself.
It was pure art, the entire process of watching the temperate water being poured into this beautifully handcrafted bowl, the technique of wrist movements to whisk the fine powder into this dark green to creamy color and then finally tasting the rich earthy sweet umami quality. This moment stirred emotions of peace and timelessness within me. A state of being I’ve been yearning for and dreaming of to feel after such a complex phase in my life. Chafinity is an essential staple part of my healing journey. Every morning, I’d break my fast with a cup of Chafinity, either my personal favorite, matcha, or with steeped green tea leaves.
I still get remnants of that first experience every time I whisk a bowl. The state of calm alertness, mental clarity, enhance mood, and substantial energy sets the tone for the rest of my day. On gym days, I’d mix chia seeds with the tea as a pre-workout beverage to help me enter the meditative state and focus on my breathing. Thank you Chafinity for advocating the devotions to sustainable health and providing such magical teas!
