Our afternoon tea with Mariko Organics brought together two expressions of that same intention: food thoughtfully prepared and tea thoughtfully grown.

Meet Mariko-san

Behind Mariko Organics is Mariko-san, whose approach to food begins with care for the ingredients and the people who enjoy them.
Rice holds a special place in her work, a familiar ingredient
in Japanese kitchens, reimagined through sweets and dishes that bring
comfort, creativity, and a sense of home to the table.
For this collaboration, her creations became part of an afternoon
tea experience at Chafinity Tea House, bringing her perspective
into conversation with our Japanese teas.

A Table Shaped by the Season

Our afternoon tea offered a different rhythm.
Savory bites, delicate sweets, and a drink chosen by each guest created space to explore flavor at an unhurried pace.
At the heart of the collaboration was a shared appreciation for ingredients: where they come from, how they are prepared, and the small details that make each offering feel considered.
From the first sip to the last bite, care connected the experience.

At Chafinity, omotenashi (おもてなし), the Japanese spirit of thoughtful hospitality, lives in the details.
