About
Warm earth tones and a low, open shape bring a quiet simplicity to the tea table. Fine lines circle the body, adding subtle texture to its smooth finish.
Design & Function
- The wide, shallow body gives tea leaves room to open, making it especially suited to gyokuro and fine sencha.
- A generous lid opening makes it easy to watch the leaves unfold and remove them after brewing.
- The traditional side handle supports a measured, gentle pour.
Material
Yakishime (焼きしめ): Unglazed, high-fired clay that showcases the natural texture and character of the earth.

Use
For brewing loose-leaf Japanese green tea, particularly gyokuro and sencha. Pour slowly and drain fully between infusions, allowing each steep to reveal a different expression of the leaves.
