We begin at the source — honoring soil, climate, and cultivation. Guided by Japanese sensibility, we value simplicity, restraint, and respect for nature. Nothing we do is forced or artificial. As tea evolves, so do we — allowing our offerings to grow with care, understanding, and time.
Our Story｜物語 (Monogatari)
Chafinity was founded by Kentaro & Jennifer Chiba, whose lives brought them back to Japan, not to seek something new, but to remember something essential.
Through time spent with farmers, tea makers, and everyday tea culture, matcha became a doorway, not the destination. What emerged was a deeper calling: to share tea as a practice of ma 間, space, pause, and awareness within daily life.
Chafinity is their expression of gratitude — to the land, the people who tend it, and the quiet wisdom tea offers when we listen.
